DIY FONDANT CUPCAKE

Fondant is one of those ingredients many people look down upon. However, if used properly and with enough imagination, it can be that one special ingredient that really brings life and joy to your table and the rest of the meal. As simple as it is, in its base, fondant can be used in such a wide variety of ways, creating different shapes and mixing colors to, finally, end up with a super fun creation that is guaranteed to bring smiles to not only children, but adults as well.

Say, for example, cupcakes. A thing almost everyone loves and holds dear. With fondant you can put a new twist on your cupcake game, opting in for some bold and vibrant colors for the “frosting” while chipping away at different, contrasting colors, and sprinkling them over the top in order to create the best looking topping out there. Colorful and fun to look at, kids will especially like this sugary ingredient and the variety it brings to the table!

To top it all off, fondant is super easy to manipulate (think of play-doh) and also very simple to color in whatever way you like. Simply take the food coloring of your preference, perhaps mixing and matching some in there, and enjoy your new glob of fondant that is perfectly tailored to your needs.

Use it to sculpt and ice your sweets, perhaps even making fondant-only treats! Used by every single cake professional around the world, you’re bound to make a good choice by picking some of this stuff up and improving your culinary skills with this great ingredient.

Fondant is super simple in its ingredients as well, containing sugar, water, gelatin, vegetable fat and glycerol, making it unbelievable and incredible how such a simple thing can bring so much variety and fun to the table.
